Volunteer or Donate

Our shelter runs on the generosity of our community.  Please consider volunteering your time or joining our Guardian Angel Care Club as a donor.

Exciting News!

Thanks to PetSmart Charities GACR is happy to accept a $10,000 grant for OKRA, Operation Kitten Rescue & Adoption.  As a PetSmart adoption partner, we were eligible to receive this grant.

This grant will support adoption preparation, including vaccines, spay/neuter, and medical care for surrendered kittens in Garland County and vicinity.

Update on Kitten Surgeries
Two 6-week-old kittens were brought to the shelter just after New Year's and both had conditions that required surgery.  With the help of generous donations, both kittens have received their necessary treatments and are ready for new homes!

Domino's hernia has been repaired and the vet has cleared him for adoption.  He's 6 months old and ready for his forever home, full of love and affection.  Domino is playful and sweet - and a beauty!
Lovebug had a surgery to remove her deformed leg and will be ready for adoption in June. She is full of energy and ready to show off her tripod skills!
Both kittens have been spayed/neutered and are fully vaccinated.  Please submit an adoption application and schedule a visit to meet Domino and Lovebug.

COVID-19 Updates

Guardian Angels has been a constant here in Hot Springs, Arkansas since 2001, rescuing, feeding, vetting, and adopting out cats to forever homes.

During the COVID19 pandemic, the shelter lost a large part of its income with the temporary closing of the thrift store and adoption center.

Now reopened with limited hours and adoptions by appointment, the shelter needs your help to achieve our mission until this pandemic passes.

You can make a donation through this PayPal link or by mail to our address above.
